Corey Haim’s Private Funeral Scheduled for Tuesday

A private funeral for 80’s Hollywood teen star Corey Haim is scheduled for Tuesday in Toronto.

Haim’s long time friend Corey Feldman has announced that he will not be in attendance.

It has been reported that Feldman spent time with Haim’s mother in Los Angeles and will not be in Toronto for the service which will be for family members only.

“I would love nothing more than to be by her side at Corey’s funeral, however, due to their strong religious beliefs and need for privacy, the family has decided to make Corey’s funeral on Tuesday a small private affair,” said Feldman in a statement to US Magazine.

Haim was found dead on March 10th at the young age of 38 and there are still disputes over the cause of his death. Haim’s mother has asked the media to repsect their privacy in Canada.

“I am working with a few people who were close to Corey to put a memorial together within the next month. At that time, the media will be invited to honor and celebrate the legacy he has left behind, along with friends, fans and the rest of the Hollywood community,” said Feldman.

Feldman and Haim starred together in a number of feature films in the 80’s and again in a reality show on A&E titled The Two Corey’s.
