People around the world are looking over the new additions to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9. The longstanding browser is considered to be the most widely used in the world.

According to internet security advocate organization, Help Net Security, updated security features for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9 include tracking protection and control over ActiveX filtering. The newest edition also has simplistic but ideal changes such as hang recovery which isolates a malfunctioning tab while allowing other open tabs to function independently.

The tracking protection function allows users to place limits on which websites that are allowed communicate with their browsers. A tracking protection list blocks certain sites from monitoring your personal activity online. Having control over ActiveX filtering gives users the ability to select specific sites that they trust to access information to create interactive features when they surf the web.

Windows lists nine reasons to download the new browser on their website. Among the reasons listed is the increased speed of the browser and a streamlined user interface design. Increased security features are also listed in the list along with the integration with Windows 7.
