Editor’s note: The Epoch Times publishes here direct translations of statements made by Chinese people who have renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliate youth organizations. Statements such as these are submitted to the Chinese language Epoch Times, Dajiyuan. The movement to renounce, withdraw from, or quit the CCP, called “Tuidang” in Chinese, began in late 2004, soon after The Epoch Times published the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” an editorial series that explores the nature and history of the CCP. These statements offer a rare and candid glimpse of history in the making. Chinese people are turning their backs on the Communist Party, choosing conscience over convenience, and peacefully ushering in a future China, free of Party rule.

The following is a selection of “Tuidang” (quitting the Party) statements made by Chinese nationals on Feb. 18-21, 2013.

I Withdraw From the Evil CCP and Its Organizations

I was a veteran member of the CCP. Seeing the Party’s infighting, corruption, and brutal persecution of innocent people, I know it’s inevitable that heaven will eliminate it. Withdrawing from it and making the right choice between good and evil is being responsible for oneself. Therefore I announce my withdrawal from the evil CCP and all its organizations to create a bright future for myself.

We Were so Naïve to Believe in Their Lies

The CCP is such a devil. When we were little, everyone had to join the Party’s Young Pioneers. I also believed that the “CCP represented justice.” However, recently my uncle told me that the Party actually represents evil. Mao Zedong was the ringleader of this evil gang. We were so naïve to believe in their lies, thinking Mao and the CCP were good.

My uncle explained to me that when you join the Young Pioneers, then the CCP has something on you, and you become its hostage; even God couldn’t save you. My uncle also told me about the Party’s many evil deeds, and that Mao killed more than 80 million Chinese people. I think we were too naïve. I told my schoolmates about it, but they couldn’t understand and said I was wrong, the CCP was right.

Now we are all contaminated by the evil Party. It deceives people with false information and propaganda. It will get what it deserves. When everybody knows the truth, it will be the end for the CCP. It’s a pity that even kids are now misled by the Party. Fortunately I have such an uncle who told me all this, otherwise I’d be the same as my schoolmates who foolishly believe in the devil.

Shouldn’t all Chinese people be united? Why are there still so many who don’t understand? Even my mom and my dad don’t know much about the evil CCP.

I hope people who see this post can discuss it with their families and tell them about this. It would even be better that they not only understand but also withdraw from CCP with us. I hope all the people who are still deceived by the CCP can wake up, and the evil Party will be disintegrated soon.

I joined the CCP after I got into college, hoping for a better future. However, the government illegally took my family’s land away, and the judicial system couldn’t help. We Were Brainwashed Since We Were Kids

Since we went to elementary school, we heard about the Young Pioneers and the Youth League. We were brainwashed since we were kids with the propaganda of “love the Party and love the country.” I don’t have any love for the CCP, as it does more evil than good; I love my country, because we are all Chinese, we should help each other.
