Named after Mexico’s first deep-sea diver, ChicoJulio (“Little Jewel”) serves traditional seafood dishes in a lively cantina-style atmosphere: ceviches, fish tacos, and whole fish of the day. ChicoJulio also has locations in Mexico City and Guadalajara.

Dishes include Gazpacho de Jaiba (yellow tomato gazpacho, crabmeat), Pulpo en Escabeche (pickled octopus, herbs, extra virgin olive oil), and Las Chinitas (fish meatballs in a ginger-peanut fish broth).

The beverage program was created by fifth-generation Jalisco distiller of fine tequilas and mecals, Sergio Mendoza. Cocktails include Agave Silencioso (blanco tequila 100% agave, green chartreuse, lime, agave nectar, orange bitters).

ChicoJulio is open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch starting Aug. 17.
