We tend to experience warm and fuzzy feelings when we witness compassion. In 2016, one unidentified Chick-Fil-A employee did a lovely act of kindness that warmed the hearts of many across the United States.
This heartwarming tale of compassion occurred outside a Bradenton Chick-fil-A in Creekwood Crossing as witnessed by Amber Kelley of Florida.
Kelley saw a Chick-Fil-A employee sitting outside on the median strip underneath a tree while on his break. He was not alone—sitting beside him was a homeless man.
What moved Kelley was the fact that the employee took the time to chat with the down-and-out man, and apparently, he offered to share a meal with him.
“I wish I had a second to stop and shake your hand and to tell you what a beautiful human being you truly are,” Kelley wrote. “I hope you two had an amazing exchange of words that neither one of you will forget.
“Just a few raw moments of human beings being kind to one another and reaching out to do something completely selfless is what this world needs. You’re a special young man and I hope you touched his heart as much as you touched mine,” she added.
Another commented: “This young man and others like him are the future of America - Young man I am proud of you and tell your mother she raised you right - God bless you.”
Others who know the employee and the homeless man chimed in to comment too.
“He is an amazing young man who always has a kind word for every one and he is going to school to become a youth minister his heart belongs to God,” one shared.
Another recalled, “I bought this same guy McDonald’s during the holidays. I was on my way to Dollar Tree to buy gift bags for Christmas gifts. I passed by him and turned around, went through the drive-thru. He was so appreciative and told me God Bless You.”
So, who’s this Chick-fil-A employee?
Incredibly, the employee didn’t want to be interviewed despite the positive response. His manager revealed he’s an “amazing person” who’s “always doing good.”
He chose to show compassion to the homeless man not for fame, but because he was “led by God to sit down and speak to the man,” FOX 13 reported.
What a fine young man. The world would be a better place if we all could share some love with those in need, just like what this Chick-fil-A employee did.
