Texas areas in Corpus Christi and Aransas Pass were heavily flooded after strong rain storms on May 15.
The areas received over 12 inches of rain in a 5-hour period, officials said on social media.
The city of Aransas Pass sustained roadway damage from washout or sinkholes. The population of Aransas is about 8,300, according to 2013 census numbers.
Officials in both areas have been rescuing trapped drivers and residents throughout the area, while the crew from the Red Cross assisted victims in Aransas Pass.
Pumps were up and running to help ease the flood.
Meanwhile, in Corpus Christi the city’s Emergency Operations Center activated at midnight in response to heavy rains and flooding. Officials said on Facebook no injuries had been reported.
