Alanis Morissette and Souleye to Have First Child

Alanis Morissette is expecting her first child with her new husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway, according to media reports.

Morissette, 36, married the 30-year-old rapper in May. She shared the news of the upcoming birth with her fans on Twitter.

On Wednesday August 10 she tweeted, “Yes, happy news....i’m pregnant :) we’re so excited to start our family.... xo a.”

She officially made her announcement in US Magazine, saying “I am pregnant!” in an article.

The Canadian singer and Souleye had a quiet wedding at their home in Los Angeles. They have been together since October 2009.

At that time, she posted on her Facebook page that she and Souleye were “very excited to embark on this journey with each other.”
