3Doodler, a Kickstarter project launched yesterday, features a pen with 3D printing functions that allows one to create plastic objects out of thin air by drawing.
The device works sort of like a glue gun, but uses ABS plastic, a material used by many 3D printers, according to WobbleWorks LLC., the marker of 3Doodler. The plastic cools quickly so one can lift the pen up and make 3D structures.
The Kickstarter project is already backed by over 6,000 people. A limited number of people who pledge $50 or more will receive one of the first 3Doodlers manufactured.
