Are you up for a challenge today? We love these mind-bending brainteasers, and this one’s so hard to figure out that we’re sharing it with you (you’re welcome).
Call it two parts entertainment, one part exercising your mental faculties, and one part wildlife appreciation. This interesting image seems, at first glance, to show four animals layered on top of one another, but since when have brainteasers been that easy? Think again!
The image has social media users the world over completely baffled because nobody can truly agree on how many animals they see. Some can’t see more than four, some see six, and some (okay, so there are a few geniuses out there) see way, way more than that.
So, are you still up for that challenge? Just take a good look at the picture below and decide for yourself: How many animals can you see?
The clever creators of this inventive illustration have added an extra layer of devilish trickery, too; the picture is entirely in black and white, so there are no colors to help you differentiate between the animals. Still, we don’t see you getting deterred. Give it your best shot!
It’s tricky, so how about we throw you a bone? Prepare to have your mind blown, because this image actually hosts a whopping 16 different animals!
It’s pretty safe to assume that you all see an elephant, a donkey, a dog, and a cat, but there are 12 additional animals lurking among them. What (and where) are they?
Here’s what you’re looking for:
Elephant (check) Donkey (check) Dog (check) Cat (check! Are you still with us?) Mouse Dolphin Turtle Snake Fish Bird’s head Hen Beaver Crocodile Shrimp (yes, really) Mosquito (okay, now the challenge is really amping up!) Swordfish (bonus points if you get this last one)
If you’re still having trouble locating every member of this wild menagerie, then watch the video below for a detailed description of what’s in the picture and where. Every single crease and crevice has been put toward creating part of a different animal, and some are more obvious than others.
If you found all 16 on your own, then hats off to you; you are a bonafide genius! If you enjoyed the complexity of this wonderful wildlife brainteaser, then be sure to share it with your friends.
But maybe keep the answers to yourself for an hour or two, just for fun!
