Many Torontonians stood still on Saturday to observe the rows of people marching down the street dressed in blues or yellows, with wide smiles, and banners conveying positive messages.
The occasion was to celebrate 100 million people having renounced the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. These people made the conscious decision to separate themselves from the communist regime and its history of human rights abuses over 60 years of rule.
Five hundred people paraded for over an hour, playing music to uplift the hearts of onlookers. Passers-by often stopped to take a look and snap photos. They also got the opportunity to renounce the Chinese Communist Party, an opportunity that many took.
