The chair of an inquiry looking into allegations about UK special forces in Afghanistan has criticised the Ministry of Defence for delays in providing evidence.
‘It is my assessment that that decision came too late,’ the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told the House Armed Services Committee on March 19.
Mr. Mercer is giving evidence to an inquiry that is delving into killings allegedly carried out by UK special forces in Afghanistan between 2010 and 2013.
