Woolworths has lifted purchase limits on all products except toilet paper.

The grocery chain began reinstating limits on essentials on June 26, after a surge in demand driven by fears of a second wave of COVID-19 cases.

Those products included toilet rolls, paper towel, frozen vegetables, milk, bread and some meat products.

Woolworths says its supply chain is coping well now, and all limits have been lifted nationally except for toilet paper, which has been limited to two packs per customer.

It says demand has moderated but warned limits will be reinstated if things change again.
