Tunisian President Kais Saied is set to be reelected after exit polls showed that he achieved a landslide victory against his two opponents in the Oct. 6 election.

Exit polls from Sigma Conseil, an independent firm, suggested that Saied, 66, won 89 percent of the vote, decisively defeating Zouhair Maghzaoui—a former ally turned critic—and Ayachi Zammel, who sat out the election after last month being handed a 12-year prison sentence for violating election laws.
