If you thought you were having a bad day, think again. A hotel guests’ expensive sports car had been driven by a valet underneath an SUV at a Sydney hotel on Thursday, May 31.
Authorities had to cut the hotel valet from the Porsche who had become trapped from the accident. Fortunately, the valet was unharmed.
The hotel’s director of sales and marketing Matthew Talbot told ABC that they were able to quickly secure the area and call in emergency services.
“We’ve got the fire brigade and the police on the scene as soon as we could,” he told the news broadcaster, adding that “the vehicle was on the bottom on the other one.”
“They had to cut part of the car away and pull the staff member out.
“Obviously the staff member was embarrassed and a little bit shocked. It kind of scooped the other car up, but the main thing is that he’s okay,” Talbot said.
A witness Jonathan Bouzaid at the accident said the valet appeared to have panicked after hitting a car in front of him.
“I think the valet wasn’t aware of the power that you get when starting a Porsche,” he said.
