Day Four

Australia won one gold and one bronze medal overnight, bringing the overall tally to six golds, four silvers, and one bronze.

Winning the gold was Kaylee McKeown in the 100m backstroke.

Max Giuliani, Flynn Southam, Elijah Winnington, and Thomas Neill won bronze for the 4x200m freestyle relay.

Medal Tally

Australia currently holds five gold medals and four silver medals.

Mollie O’Callaghan won gold for the women's 200 metre freestyle, adding another gold to Australia's medal tally.

She stood alongside Ariarne Titmus on the podium, who secured silver; the two bringing Australia a 1–2 finish. Titmus adds another medal to the gold she won at the Tokyo Olympics.

MP Unimpressed With The Last Supper Mockery

Nationals MP Michael McCormack had words to say about the controversial Olympics opening ceremony and a message for the artistic director.

"The Olympics Opening Ceremony 'artistic' director who felt the need to mock The Last Supper & thereby Christianity should be reminded of the great sacrifice of Christian soldiers, including tens upon tens of 1000s of Australians, buried in [French] soil who died to save that country!" he wrote in a post on X.

Paris Olympics organisers have apologised to Christians and Catholics for the segment.
