More National Standards Needed to Ensure Australia’s Development: Report

Australia is facing new challenges as the country currently lacks the standards to deal with issues in five critical areas, including cyber security, natural disasters, the environment, and emerging technology.

A new report (pdf) from Standards Australia, the primary non-government standards development body in the country, stated that Australia would need up to 4,000 new standards in the next ten years to cope with energy challenges, digital threats and natural disasters.
