A mother in England is claiming that her daughter’s doll, called “My Little BABY Born,” has a dirty mouth.
“My daughter is two-and-a-half-years-old, she wanted it because her friend has one, it was on the top of her list,” she said. “My husband got it out for her and put the batteries in---I was not in the room. My daughter had it off my husband and it just caught his ear.”
Her husband “called me in and said ‘look what do you think to this’, I got it straight away,” she claimed.
She purchased the doll for her daughter, Darcey, but she revealed that she had to take it away from her after it yelled curse words.
“I do not know if it’s a one-off or if they’re all saying that,” Fox told the paper.
The doll says, “You [expletive],” instead of more family-friendly phrases, the mother claimed.
“That was what she really wanted and I felt so awful taking it off her but I could not let her go out in public with the doll saying that,” added Fox.
Zapf, for its part, said that the doll’s sounds were not meant to sound offensive.
