Rallies were held in over 30 locations across Greater Toronto on Oct. 10 and 11 calling on Canadians to sign petitions to “end” the Chinese communist regime.
The petition drive came in response to the regime’s atrocities against the people in China, and deceptive tactics the regime has used around the world for over 70 years.
“The purpose of this petition is to urge the Canadian government to take a tougher stand against the Chinese Communist Party and to make the regime pay for what it has done,” said volunteer Sonia Zhang, one of the signature collectors.
“Because of COVID-19, people around the world can now see the evil of the CCP. However, there are many more brutalities that the regime has committed in history. This campaign is a good opportunity to expose their crimes and let the world know. If you really want to put a stop to these bad things from happening again, then you need to end the CCP.”
The Toronto branch of the Global Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (Tuidang Center) organized the petition rallies in major intersections across GTA over the weekend.
As COVID-19 has spread around the world, details have emerged about the regime’s early efforts to suppress news of the outbreak. One of the most glaring examples was the case of Dr Li Wenliang, the doctor who tried to raise the alarm about the CCP virus (COVID-19) in the early days of the outbreak before he was silenced by police only to later die of the infection.
“This campaign is also aimed at the Chinese in the hope that they will see through the evil nature of Chinese Communist Party and quit it. The CCP has committed a lot of bad deeds like the cultural revolution, three-anti and five-anti campaigns,” Xuefeng Pan, a volunteer of the Tuidang Center said.
Those campaigns were bloody political movements instigated by the party. They aimed to wipe out segments of the Chinese population or certain modes of thinking.
“The Chinese who are brainwashed by the Chinese regime become their spies around the world.”
When Pierre Lauzon saw volunteers at the rally holding banners that read “Protect Canada from Pandemic, Reject China’s Communist Party!,” he commented that the CCP is responsible for it.
“They have to be held accountable. We have over a million dead [globally],” Lauzon said. “Whether by fault or by design, this pandemic got away on the Chinese Communist Party … and that’s their fault.”
He also said the CCP has to “pay reparations to every country in the world.”
Communism has never worked anywhere in the world whether it is Cuba, North Korea, China or the former Soviet Union, he said.
“They’re always for the communist party, never for the common working people ... Communism must end.”
An elderly man who received a flyer from the volunteers at Bloor St West and Bay St said, “I know the Chinese people are very kind, but the Chinese government [the CCP] is very evil.”
‘Quit the CCP’
During the rallies, volunteers also helped the Chinese people to quit the CCP and its affiliated associations.A car tour was also held about the same time as the rallies. Over 20 vehicles mounted with banners toured along the main streets across GTA, creating awareness to the public of the “End the CCP” campaign, and “Quit the CCP” movement to the Chinese people.
