A huge fire broke out at an airfield in English county of Suffolk on Thursday morning, with some witnesses reporting explosions, according to local media.
The fire service said that they are “making good progress” and that there are no casualties.
The fire in an industrial unit at Parham Airfield is reported to have started at about 9:45 a.m. BST. Around 50 firefighters and 13 appliances were sent to tackle the blaze.
A huge amount of thick black smoke was seen rising into the sky at the site. A local news outlet said the incident involved “hazardous materials at a fibreglass moulding site.”
The fire service advised local people to keep doors and windows closed.
A witness told the East Anglian Daily Times, “I have never seen a fire like it.”
“There were two massive explosions and in one a flaming barrel flew high into the air,” she said.
