A man is accused of punching a female paramedic who was trying to treat him on an inner Sydney street.
Police called an ambulance after responding to reports of an intoxicated man in Surry Hills about 7.30pm on May 21.
It’s alleged the 37-year-old became increasingly belligerent and aggressive towards them.
“The man then walked towards one of the ambulance paramedics and used a closed fist to strike the 25-year-old woman on her left forearm,” NSW Police said in a statement.
The paramedic wasn’t injured but the man was arrested and later charged with assault.
He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on Wednesday.
