A flight attendant who tumbled out of a plane’s emergency exit while it was parked in Uganda has died, it has emerged.
The flight attendant who has not been named, was rushed to hospital after falling out of the plane at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, but later died, according to reports.
Authorities are investigating the woman’s fall from the plane.
The woman was on an Emirates Boeing 777 and was preparing to head to Dubai at 3:25 p.m. local time on Wednesday, March 14, Metro reported.
Emirates issued a statement Saturday, March 17, acknowledging the crew member’s death.
Emirates said it “will extend our full cooperation to the authorities in their investigation,” AP reported.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, and we’re providing them with all possible support and care,” the airline added.
