Two major theaters in Seoul, South Korea, have so far rejected a New York-based performing arts company Shen Yun’s bid to perform because of pressure from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), according to local organizers.
At a press conference in San Francisco on Saturday, ahead of the APEC summit—which the president of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol is going to attend—Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) spoke with NTD reporter Iris Tao.
“I think this is all evidence of a global strategy of economic coercion, which is why we need to push back in concert with our allies,” he said.
