Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been indicted on allegations that he faked his COVID-19 vaccination records to travel abroad, paving the way for possible criminal fraud charges against the conservative leader.

The country’s federal police on March 19 formally accused Mr. Bolsonaro, an outspoken skeptic of the global COVID-19 vaccine rollout and harsh public health restrictions, of plotting to forge “false certificates to obtain undue advantages” during the pandemic.
