NSW Health has directed a southwest Sydney restaurant to close after it failed to provide staffing and patronage records in a timely manner.

The state recorded one new locally-acquired case of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 p.m. on Monday from 8550 tests, along with two cases in hotel quarantine.
