Items seized at the property included 1.15 kilograms (2.5 pounds) of cocaine, 1.1 kilograms (2.4 pounds) of ice, 13 firearms, five sub-machine guns, two semi-automatic pistols, and two revolvers, ammunition, a silencer, and A$2.75 million (US$2.08 million) in cash, NSW Police said in a media release.
The following day, a 34-year-old man was arrested at Sydney Airport upon his arrival from New Zealand and charged with three counts of supplying a prohibited drug, possessing ammunition, dealing in proceeds of crime, resisting arrest, participating in a criminal group, and aggravated firearms offences. The man was taken to Kogarah Police Station and refused bail.
Upon further inquiries, three more men were arrested in relation to the seized items later on Thursday in Alexandria.
A 32-year-old was taken to Kogarah Police Station and charged with supplying prohibited drugs, dealing in proceeds of crime, participating in a criminal group, and aggravated firearms offences. He was also refused bail.
The two other men, a 34- and 32-year-old, were released while police make further inquiries.
The two men facing charges will appear in Sutherland Local Court on Friday, June 1.
The investigation is ongoing.
