MILWAUKEE—President and CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin, Jorge Franco, found the spirituality displayed through Shen Yun Performing Arts to be “deep” and “profound.”
“That was my favorite part of the whole show,” Mr. Franco said after watching Shen Yun perform at Milwaukee’s Miller High Life Theater with his wife Miriam on Feb. 17.
“The spiritual element is profound, and its divinity is very unique.”
“It was wonderful—the emotion, the spirit, the color, the vibrancy, the imagery, all very good. Outstanding,” Mr. Franco said.
“It’s [with] such depth of spirituality that we find joy, and [that] joy is clearly expressed in the presentation and the emotions of the dancers.”
“It’s got to be done. It’s wonderful that they’re doing it and bringing it back with such vibrancy. We love that.”
China’s traditional values and customs were nearly wiped out through communist campaigns, such as the Cultural Revolution, which sought to replace China’s vibrant and glorious 5,000 year-old culture with communist concepts such as struggle and atheism.
“It’s a wonderful, wonderful presentation, and something that must live on,” Mr. Franco said.
Mr. Franco also congratulated the Shen Yun team for “such a wonderful way of presenting” the performance.
“Amazing accomplishment and a big congratulations to the Artistic Director as well. Mission accomplished.”
