The trailer for “Pure Love” featuring Alex Gonzaga is trending online.

The preview, which runs for nearly four minutes, introduces the lead characters, who will be portrayed by Gonzaga and Yen Sentos.

The series is adapted from the hit Korean television series 49 Days.

Gonzaga plays an optimistic bridge-to-be, Diane, who ends up in a coma after a car accident.

While in the coma, Diane is told by a mysterious person (Matt Evans) that it isn’t yet time for her to die.

But in order to emerge from the coma, she must fulfill a mission--gathering three teardrops shed out of pure love by three people within 40 days.

In order to complete the mission, she is enabled to possess the body of Ysabel (Santos), a depressed woman who attempted to kill herself, leading to the car accident.

The terms Pure Love and 49 days began trending on Twitter after the trailer debuted on Friday.

The original series aired on ABC-CBN in 2011, the same year it started in South Korea.

Instead of having 40 days, the Diane had 49 days to fulfill the mission in the original series, hence the title.

Pure Love will premiere in July.

John Arcilla, Sunshine Cruz, Arjo Atayde, Yam Concepcion, and Joseph Marco also star.
