Woman Tries to Snort Cocaine While in Police Custody

A Connecticut woman tried to snort cocaine inside a police station while waiting to be booked on unrelated charges, police said.

Nicole Hunter was arrested on Christmas day and charged with possession of narcotics, interfering with an officer, and disorderly conduct, reported Fox News, citing police.

Earlier that day, police received reports of an erratic driver in a black Kia SUV with a New Hampshire license. They found the car in Hunter’s driveway with Hunter still sitting in it, according to authorities.

When officers approached her, she started being “uncooperative” and “was screaming outside in a residential neighborhood.” She was also “belligerent and charged at the officers,” reported the news station, citing a police report.

The 25-year-old was subsequently arrested and taken to Ledyard Police Department. While she was waiting to be searched by a female officer, she “pulled a pink powdery substance wrapped in paper out of her pocket and unsuccessfully tried to snort the powdery substance,” police said in the report.

Police confirmed that the powdery substance was tested positive for cocaine, reported Fox News.

Hunter was released from custody on a bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8.

In a similar case last month, a high school teacher was filmed allegedly snorting drugs in the classroom. Samantha Cox, 24, was led out of the Indiana high school in handcuffs and was charged with possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
