WESTMINSTER, Calif.—A 28-year-old woman pleaded guilty on Sept. 15 and was immediately sentenced to three years in prison for sexually assaulting two girls as they got out of school in Fountain Valley.
Anisa Marie Lopez of Anaheim pleaded guilty to two felony counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14, according to court records.
Ms. Lopez, who has been in custody since her arrest on Oct. 24, made inappropriate comments to several juveniles around Magnolia Street and Talbert Avenue as they were getting out of school, police said. She also “inappropriately” grabbed two of the children, police said.
Officers arrived on the scene and arrested Ms. Lopez, who was held on $100,000 bail.
Ms. Lopez had two pending misdemeanor cases for possession of a controlled substance and refusing to leave at an officer’s request, according to court records. The drug case was dismissed and she pleaded guilty to refusing to leave at an officer’s request.
