Surveillance footage captured in Baltimore, Maryland shows a civilian employee of the city’s police department being severely beaten and robbed by a group of scooter-riding teens in broad daylight.
The graphic video captured the assault and robbery that occurred around 6 a.m. on July 24 in the middle of Albemarle Street, only blocks away from the city’s popular Inner Harbor according to the Baltimore Police Department.
In the video, the victim wearing a white outfit can be seen walking in the block when he was approached from both front and the back by three young suspects. A male and a female, riding Lime e-scooters, blocked the way in front of the victim who tried fruitlessly to run away, while the other male punched and kicked the victim, knocking him to the ground.
The video then shows one of the young thugs repeatedly stomping the elderly man on the head. The three moved on to rummage through the unconscious victim’s pockets for valuables before they all fled the scene, possibly in the victim’s car.
The suspects have not been identified and are currently at large at the time of this publication.
“That is extremely shocking and look at where it happened,” said Commissioner Michael Harrison. “It’s extremely shocking to the conscience, extremely worrisome and troublesome and disturbing and yes, we are deploying all of our resources in the most aggressive way—but not abusive—to be in as many places as we can to deter it.”

This Wednesday’s brutal attack against Baltimore’s law enforcement-affiliated personnel comes only days after Deputy Police Commissioner Daniel Murphy and his wife were held at gunpoint and robbed by four men near a Baltimore park.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
