Police in Santa Ana, California, are looking for a woman who allegedly attacked a McDonald’s employee for not giving her enough ketchup in her order.

The woman “pushed, punched, and choked” the McDonald’s employee, according to the police department in a Nov. 13 news release. The incident occurred on Oct. 27.

“The suspect entered the McDonald’s restaurant from the employee back door and asked for ketchup. When the store manager said she could not be in the building, the suspect became combative,” police said.

Police released McDonald’s surveillance footage of the incident, showing a woman in gray pants and a light pink shirt attacking the employee, who was wearing a blue shirt. Another employee then tries to intervene.

Police are also hoping to find a man who entered the McDonald’s and left with the female suspect. They said he’s not in trouble, KTLA reported. In the video, the man can be seen coming through the back door before pulling the woman off the employee before escorting her away.

The incident occurred in the 1500 block of North Bristol Street.

“We’re actually grateful for the service he provided, he stopped the assault. But ... we believe if you don’t know her, but you might know him; our intent is to get her identified,” police spokesman Anthony Bertagna told KTLA.

He added: “She’s the one that committed the crime. There’s no reason to physically assault someone because you didn’t get enough ketchup.”

The woman is described as being Hispanic and around 20 to 25 years old. She has brown hair.

If you have any information as to the identity of this woman, contact PIS L. Delisle at (714)245-8647 or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
