US Executes Fifth Federal Prisoner Convicted of Killing 10-Year-Old Girl

Keith Nelson, a convicted murderer who killed a girl in 1999, was executed on Friday afternoon, becoming the fifth federal inmate to be executed in 2020.

According to The Associated Press, a prison official asked Nelson if he had any last words, there was only silence. Nelson didn’t make a sound or respond in any way. After about 15 seconds, the official began the execution procedure after Nelson didn’t respond.
