President-elect Donald Trump will attend a series of private and public events on Jan. 19, ahead of his second presidential inauguration on Jan. 20.

The schedule of inaugural events began on Jan. 18 and will run through Jan. 21, the day after Trump is sworn in.

According to a schedule shared by the Trump–Vance Inaugural Committee, Trump plans to attend a private wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, on Jan. 19. Citing increased security needs, road closures, and anticipated heavy traffic in and around the area, the cemetery announced the grounds will be closed to the public and to family pass holders from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST, coinciding with the wreath laying event.

Trump will be more publicly visible later on Sunday, as he attends a Make America Great Again Victory Rally at the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington.

The pre-inauguration rally will be live-streamed and will include performances by Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Village People, and Lee Greenwood. The Liberty University Praise Choir will also perform at the rally, as part of a tribute event remembering Trump’s near assassination at a rally this summer in Butler, Pennsylvania, in which rallygoer Corey Comperatore sustained a fatal gunshot wound and Trump’s ear was grazed by gunfire.

Trump will cap off the victory rally with remarks to attendees. Other speakers will include Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, Elon Musk, former wrestling star Hulk Hogan, actor Jon Voight, UFC President Dana White, Puerto Rican reggaeton star Anuel AA, Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, and conservative podcaster Megyn Kelly.

“President Trump is dedicated to uniting the country through the strength, security, and opportunity of his America First agenda,” Trump Vance Inaugural Committee co-chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler said in an emailed press statement.

“The 2025 inaugural celebrations will reflect President-elect Trump’s historic return to the White House and the American people’s decisive vote to Make America Great Again,” they added.

Following the rally, Trump plans to attend a candlelight dinner, where he will close out his schedule of Sunday events with another speech to attendees.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden will spend his Sunday in Charleston, South Carolina. The White House has not publicized Biden’s exact schedule of events in South Carolina for the last full day of his term as president.

On Monday, the Trump–Vance Inaugural Committee said Trump will attend a service at St. John’s Church in Lafayette Square before joining the Bidens at the White House for tea and then heading to his inauguration ceremony for the transfer of presidential power.

Citing a freezing weather forecast, Trump’s second inauguration is set to take place inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. The presidential swearing-in ceremony typically takes place on the Capitol steps, but weather forecasts indicate temperatures could fall as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit in Washington on Monday.
