Moments after President Donald Trump finished his speech at the Capital One Arena on Jan. 20, he began signing a stack of executive orders that will set the stage for his second administration.

Trump signed orders that will implement an immediate regulatory freeze, a temporary federal government hiring freeze, a mandate to require all federal workers to immediately return to full-time in-person work, and an inflation directive for all Cabinet members.

The executive actions he signed after his speech at the arena also immediately sought to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Accord, prevent the government from limiting free speech with censorship, and end the “weaponization of government” in political persecution.

He also said he would revoke 80 of former President Biden’s executive actions and seek to fire federal bureaucrats working on those regulations.

“I’m revoking nearly 80 destructive, radical executive actions of the previous administration. They'll all be null and void within about what five minutes,” Trump said.

The president will be signing additional executive actions as soon as he reaches the Oval Office.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
