President Donald Trump continued his barrage of attacks against radical Democratic Congresswomen on July 15, sharing a denouncement by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).
“We all know that AOC and this crowd are a bunch of Communists, they hate Israel, they hate our own Country, they’re calling the guards along our Border (the Border Patrol Agents) Concentration Camp Guards, they accuse people who support Israel as doing it for the Benjamin’s,” Trump wrote on Twitter, sharing a lengthy quote by Graham, one of his top allies in the Senate.
“They are Anti-Semitic, they are Anti-America, we don’t need to know anything about them personally, talk about their policies. I think they are American citizens who are duly elected that are running on an agenda that is disgusting, that the American people will reject.”
“What does it mean for America to have free Healthcare for Illegal Immigrants, no criminalization of coming into our Country—See how that works for controlling Immigration! They talk about Israel like they’re a bunch of thugs, not victims of the entire region. They wanted to impeach President Trump on DAY ONE. Make them the face of the future of the Democrat Party, you will destroy the Democrat Party. Their policies will destroy our Country!” Trump continued, still sharing a quote by Graham.
The president then added four words of his own, writing: “Need I say more?”
Graham had told his supporters he would be appearing on “Fox & Friends” on Monday morning before conducting an interview on Fox News Radio. He made the comments on the former.
Graham golfed with the president and Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and David Purdue (R-Ga.) over the weekend.
Trump’s latest missives regarding the far-left wing of the Democratic party came just hours after he said the “radical left Congresswomen” should “apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said.”
“So many people are angry at them & their horrible & disgusting actions!” he said.
Trump ignited outrage on the left after calling on “‘progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen” to “go back” to their countries to help fix the “corrupt and inept” governments there before returning to the United States and “show[ing] us how it is done.”
Other than Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), an immigrant from Somalia, it’s unclear who Trump had in mind, as few other Democratic Congresswomen are from other countries, and those that are are from countries considered stable such as India and Germany.
Omar was among those responding to the president, writing that he was “stoking white nationalism bc you are angry that people like us are serving in Congress and fighting against your hate-filled agenda.”
Ocasio-Cortez also responded, writing: “Mr. President, the country I ‘come from,’ & the country we all swear to, is the United States. But given how you’ve destroyed our border with inhumane camps, all at a benefit to you & the corps who profit off them, you are absolutely right about the corruption laid at your feet.”
She then referenced her three closest allies and fellow freshman Congresswomen, adding: “You are angry because you don’t believe in an America where I represent New York 14, where the good people of Minnesota elected @IlhanMN, where @RashidaTlaib fights for Michigan families, where @AyannaPressley champions little girls in Boston.”
