Trump Says 50 Percent Tariff Will Be Imposed on European Union on June 1

The president said European countries have been taking advantage of the United States.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on May 23 that the United States will impose a 50 percent tariff on the European Union soon.

“The European Union, which was formed for the primary purpose of taking advantage of the United States on TRADE, has been very difficult to deal with,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.
