Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) won his reelection bid against Republican Corey Stewart, according to The Associated Press projections for the race.
Kaine, who campaigned with Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election, was widely expected to win the reelection bid. AP noted that he had a large cash advantage over his opponent.
