Police say a suspect and two victims are dead following a murder-suicide involving medieval swords in Santa Ana, Calif.
On May 2, a woman called police to report that her boyfriend had stabbed her and her uncle at a business at about 4:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Chestnut Avenue.
When police arrived, they found a “gruesome and bloody scene,” Santa Ana Police Department Public Information Officer Natalie Garcia told The Epoch Times.
Police found the woman, identified as Jordan Block, 25, of Santa Ana, and two men suffering from gunshot wounds in their upper torso.
The woman and her uncle, identified as Brian Xan Martin, 64, of Santa Ana, also had stab wounds, possibly by one of the medieval weapons the uncle kept in a collection on the premises, Ms. Garcia said.
What happened in the moments between the call and the discovery is still under investigation, according to police.
“The coroner will determine what killed them,” Ms. Garcia said. “It’s going to be awhile until our detectives figure out a motive.”
Orange County Fire Authority responders pronounced the woman and the uncle dead at the scene. The boyfriend and suspect Cameron Delani Clark, also of Santa Ana, was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died of his injuries May 5.
The gun police believe was used in the incident and weapons related to the crime were recovered at the scene, Ms. Garcia confirmed.
