A children’s pajama set that was sold online via Amazon is being recalled due to a potential burn hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on July 3.

The recall impacts roughly 27,400 units of children’s two-piece pajama sets made by ShenZhen Bai Si Te Clothing Limited Company, which does business under the name of SWOMOG, based in China.

The sets were sold in satin and ribbed modal fabrics, according to the notice.

The sets violate federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a burn hazard to children, the CPSC said.

Under those regulations, children’s sleepwear must be “flame resistant and self-extinguish if a flame from a candle, match, lighter, or a similar item causes it to catch fire.”

So far no injuries have been reported due to the recalled items, according to the CPSC.

The agency did not say when or how the issue was discovered.

According to the notice, the products subject to the recall were sold exclusively on Amazon from May 2022 through January 2024 for between $16 and $43.

They were available in sizes 4-5 years, 6-7 years, 8-9 years, 10-11 years, 12-13 years, and 14-15 years, and in 15 colors, including black, blue, champagne, deep green, green, lavender, marina blue, matcha, misty rose, navy, pink, red 1, rose red, sakura pink, and white, according to the CPSC.

The ribbed modal fabric was sold in black.

All of the products were sold in both a short-sleeve and shorts set, and a long-sleeve and pants set, except the modal pajama set, which was only sold in a short-sleeve and shorts set.

Customers who may have purchased the items can identify them via the side-seam label, which states that they were manufactured in China between May 2022 and October 2023 in the format “Apr.01.2023,” and lists the manufacturer name “ShenZhen Bai Si Te Clothing limited Company.”

Individuals who bought the recalled pajamas are asked to immediately move them out of reach of children and stop using them.

Customers are also being advised to contact SWOMOG via email at [email protected] to receive a full refund, as long as they attach a photo showing the garment has been destroyed.

“Consumers should destroy the garments by cutting the top and bottom in half, and disposing of them in accordance with local and state recycling laws,” the CPSC notice said.

The Epoch Times has contacted the CPSC for further comment.
