LOS ANGELES—A stabbing suspect who barricaded himself for several hours on the 11th floor of a former luxury hotel in downtown Los Angeles was arrested Dec. 20.
The barricade ended around 10:40 p.m. when Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers took the man into custody without incident at the Rosslyn Hotel at 112 W. Fifth St., near Main Street, Officer Mike Lopez said.
Police closed off several streets during the standoff and LAPD responded with SWAT and K-9 units to the area.
Once a luxury hotel with Beaux Arts architecture, the Rosslyn Hotel has been converted into affordable housing.
