Authorities are investigating a “suspicious death” in Levittown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with initial reports suggesting a gruesome beheading inside a residence.

The suspect, who “is the victim’s son,” has been arrested but not yet formally charged, Middletown Township Police Chief Joseph Bartorilla told The Epoch Times via email.

Per FOX 29, Middletown Township police and Bucks County detectives are investigating at the scene of what they officially described as a suspicious death. A man was reportedly discovered beheaded in his home, police said.

The incident unfolded on the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive around 7 p.m. ET when police responded to a report of a death. Upon entering the residence, authorities found the lifeless body of a man, decapitated, in the bathroom.

FOX 29 reporter Chris O'Connell shared photos from the scene on X (formerly Twitter).
Per the New York Post, a video of the suspect holding up the decapitated head of his father was posted on YouTube. It was soon taken down.

Before it was taken down, the outlet reported that it was able to view the clip, which reportedly showed the suspect holding up the severed head in a plastic bag.

“He is now in hell for an eternity as a traitor to his country,” the man says to the camera. He then reportedly ranted against the government and called for “militias” across the country to unite and kill federal officials “on site.”

Police had issued a lookout alert for a 33-year-old male believed to be armed with a 9mm handgun, driving a 2009 Toyota.

Approximately 45 minutes later, the suspect, identified as the victim’s son, was apprehended near Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County, nearly two hours away from the crime scene.

Mr. Bartorilla told reporters at the scene: “I’m not going to comment on the matter of death right now. Just say that he’s deceased. There’s a person of interest; that person is located and detained. And I think the neighborhood can rest easy because I think they were a little uneasy for a while before they knew where the person of interest was.”

Police interviewed witnesses at the scene.
