Shots were fired at Westchester Medical Center, located in New York’s Westchester County, according to police on Aug. 8.
Police said it is an active shooter situation, but they didn’t provide more details, Fox News reported.
It isn’t clear if there were any injuries or deaths.
The hospital, located in Valhalla, was evacuated, The Journal News reported.
“Sometimes family members get a little outraged,” Clarence McMillan, who is a worker, told The Journal News. “They don’t understand the care and stuff we have to go through to help their loved ones survive. Maybe this is one of those situations.”
ABC7 reported that the hospital was placed on lockdown while officials respond.
