At least three people were shot in front of the University of Mississippi Medical Center on Nov. 29, according to Jackson Police.
Davis said someone fired shots at a grey Honda with a female and two kids inside. The children, ages 1 and 3, were shot. The woman in the car grabbed the children and ran into UMMC for treatment, the Clarion-Ledger reported.
Both children are alive, Davis said, adding he doesn’t know their condition. One was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the body.
It is no longer an active shooter situation, according to local news reports.
Other details about the shooting are not clear.
