President Joe Biden’s daughter owes thousands in taxes, according to a newly disclosed document.

Ashley Biden, 42, owes $4,985 in person income tax, according to the document, from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.

The department listed the amount owed in a notice sent to Ms. Biden on Dec. 1.

The nonprofit Marco Polo obtained the document from the department.

“This is just another example of the Bidens being careless,” Garrett Ziegler, the nonprofit’s founder, told The Epoch Times in a message. “You'd think that they would show a little bit more prudence when you’re the American first family, to make sure you don’t have any tax liens on you, especially going into an election year.”

Ms. Biden, her lawyer, and the White House did not respond to requests for comment.

None of the parties have appeared to comment publicly on the document, which was first reported by Fox News.

The president’s son, Hunter Biden, 53, intentionally did not pay at least $1.4 million in taxes, according to an indictment released earlier this month. Mr. Biden was charged with nine counts, including three felony counts.

“The scale is not anything like Hunter, but … Joe is constantly talking about how wealthy and connected people do not pay their fair share and can afford to pay more, and it just so happens that both of his living children did not pay their taxes,” Mr. Ziegler said. “From items large and small (and this is admittedly small and nothing like the scale of Hunter’s depravity and criminality), the Bidens are the living embodiment of hypocrisy.”

Ms. Biden failed to pay enough taxes from Jan. 1, 2015, through Dec. 31, 2021, according to Pennsylvania authorities.

The lien is for “unpaid tax, interest, additions or penalties thereon due from such taxpayer and which, after demand for payment thereof, remains unpaid,” the document states.

Ms. Biden must pay the amount owed as well as an additional filing fee, bringing her total to $5,079, according to the document.

Ms. Biden is listed as the executive director of the Delaware Center for Justice on LinkedIn.

President Biden’s youngest child graduated from Tulane University with a degree in cultural anthropology and later obtained a master of social work, social policy, and practice from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice.

Ms. Biden has spent time as a clinical support specialist at a children’s clinic, as an employment and education specialist at a Delaware nonprofit, and as a liaison for the Delaware government.

Ms. Biden helped her father’s campaign, regularly appearing at campaign events. She called her family at one point “some of the most incredible, kind, compassionate humans, who have given up their life, really, for service to the American people,” according to CNN.

She also said she “learned about racism from a very young age” and sought to “tackle structural violence and institutional racism.”

Diary

A document said to be Ms. Biden’s diary was published online in 2020. Two people pleaded guilty in 2022 to conspiracy charges in relation to the diary.

Prosecutors said that one of the individuals was living at a home where Ms. Biden was storing the diary. The individual stole the property and enlisted the other individual to help sell it, according to court documents.

“Harris and Kurlander stole personal property from an immediate family member of a candidate for national political office. They sold the property to an organization in New York for $40,000 and even returned to take more of the victim’s property when asked to do so,” U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams, an appointee of President Biden, said at the time.

The two individuals are Aimee Harris and Robert Kurlander.

The nonprofit journalism group Project Veritas has said it bought the diary but did not release it due to being unable to verify its legitimacy even though there were some employees who thought it was genuine. Project Veritas said it purchased the diary from two people with the initials A.H. and R.K.

National File, a media outlet, later obtained the diary and published it on its website. National File said it did not buy the diary.

The case involving the two individuals “essentially proves the diary is legit,” Noel Fritsch, National File’s publisher, told The Epoch Times previously.
In the document, the author writes about struggling with drug abuse, her love life, and being resentful of her father.

“So… we are running. Announcement will be in April or early May. It is all super anxiety producing but I just have to take it one day at a time,” the author wrote in March 2019. President Biden announced his campaign on April 25, 2019.

The diary also said that President Biden was crying in one phone call because there was an upcoming debate and that he had to worry about the author.

The diary stated, “Maybe he knows what he is doing and it’s worked but my feelings of guilt often are overwhelming.”
