ORANGE, Calif. (CNS)—Authorities on Nov. 17 circulated a photo of a 29-year-old man from Orange who went missing while apparently on his way to Los Angeles in a rental car.

Benjamin Tyler Burkhardt was last seen about 9 a.m. on Oct. 27 in the 2100 block of East Jackson Avenue in Orange, near the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway, according to Deputy Trina Schrader of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

He was driving a rented red Ford Escape, Arizona license plate number BRX9921, and authorities believe he was on his way to Los Angeles from his home in Orange, Schrader said.

Burkhardt is described as white, 6-foot-1 and 165 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes, Schrader said. He was last seen clad in a black jacket, blue jeans, and blue shoes, and wears glasses.

Authorities circulated a photo of Burkhardt and urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Those wishing to report anonymously can call 800-222-TIPS.
