Police in Florida are now investigating a video of a Gainesville doctor telling a sick woman in an expletive-laced tirade to get out after she claimed to have waited too long in line.
Jessica Stipe posted a video of the incident on Facebook, generating hundreds of thousands of views. He told her to “get the [expletive] out” of the office.
In the video, Gallogly approaches her and says that they already tested her urine. “Are you kidding me?” the doctor said. “We’ve already been working on you. We’ve done a urine test on you. I’ve seen you.”
“I want to go home and get in my bed,” she said in the video.
“If you go to CareSpot, you’re waiting for three hours. Go to the ER and wait for nine hours,” he says in the video. “Get the [expletive deleted] out of my office,” he responded.
Then, he can be seen opening the door for Stipe and her daughter. He realizes the daughter was recording him and took her phone.
“Mom, I got it on video, it doesn’t matter. What’s your name (doctor)?” the daughter asked him.
Stipe said that she had an appointment for 6:30 p.m., but she wasn’t seen by 7:45 p.m.
“By 7:45 was not seen still in severe pain and throwing up in the trash can. All they had me do was pee in a cup to see if I’m pregnant,” Stipe wrote on Facebook, adding that she asked for her co-pay money back.
“At the end of the events, I most regrettably lost my temper, and spoke to the women in a most unprofessional manner,” Gallogly said. “I make no excuses for my unacceptable behavior. But please appreciate that the video is but the last minute or two of a very abusive tirade against my office staff by the two women.”
