Human remains of a missing mother from Hudson, Florida have been located, Pasco County officials said Thursday.
The body of Destiny Lee Aaron, 21, was identified through dental records. Aaron went missing back on April 1 this year after she left her home, according to a press conference by the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
Aaron left her home on Placid Road in Hudson after an argument with her boyfriend. According to ABC News, she left her home on foot while intoxicated.
The Sheriff’s Office said the mother was scheduled for a hearing involving a custody battle just a few days before she went missing.
It was the final hearing for the custody of her child, according to ABC News.
In the press conference, authorities also revealed that Aaron was last seen at a party, adding that her body was found a quarter mile away from the location of the party.
Officials told ABC News there was no evidence of any trauma to Aaron’s body.
Detectives are still searching how she got to the location where she was found and the cause of death. The case is still an open and active investigation.
