Pipe Bomb Explodes on 2nd Floor in San Diego Hotel

SAN DIEGO—Investigators are searching for suspects after an explosive device went off in a hotel in San Diego.

Officers responded to reports of a pipe bomb that was detonated on the second floor of the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, 8110 Aero Drive, near Kearny Villa Road, at 10:18 a.m. on Feb. 24, a San Diego Police Department watch commander confirmed.

Police reported no injuries, though the hotel property sustained minor damage. There are no witnesses to the crime, however. Police released images of two men who they say are persons of interest.

Detectives from the San Diego Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating the case.

No other information was released.
