One Man Dead, 2 Wounded in Long Beach Shooting

Three men were wounded and one of them died from a shooting in Long Beach, California, authorities said on Aug. 7.

The shooting was reported at 7:21 p.m. on Aug. 6 in the area of 29th Street and Chestnut Avenue, according to Long Beach police Lt. Gerrit DeJongh.

“All three where transported to local hospitals for treatment,” Mr. DeJongh said. “One of the subjects succumbed to his injuries. All suspects are in custody.”

Homicide detectives were investigating the shooting and additional information was not immediately available.
