A Brooklyn College professor admitted in a video he discriminates against conservative, religious students and would like to kill former President Donald Trump.
He similarly threatened Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green of Georgia.
“They’re kids, and they oftentimes either don’t know any better, or they’ve been influenced by their parents, and they never heard an alternate voice from a position of knowledge,” he said.
However, Tausch told The Epoch Times in an email that Project Veritas did not release the entire video, which he estimated to be four hours long.
“You should know [as it is well known!], Project ‘Veritas’ uses spurious tactics, entrapment and selectively edited video to smear individuals and organizations,” he said.
He referenced a Wikipedia link portraying Project Veritas as a right-wing media group that gathers information on “progressives” through secret recordings.
In the video, Tausch also said that Republicans were dangerous because they didn’t believe in climate change in the video that had received more than 19,000 views.
The video, posted on social media sites such as Rumble, showed him sitting at a table in a restaurant or bar, saying he was in control of his classroom.
He explained how he used his authority and depth of knowledge in class to cow conservative students because they don’t speak from a “factual” standpoint.
Tausch affirmed in the video trying to sway conservative students to adopt a more socialist worldview and vote differently.
The students described difficulties in seeking an education in what they described as an anti-white, anti-Christian, and anti-American higher education culture.
One of those students, who goes by the alias Mia, said the Project Veritas video illustrates that people who hold conservative values often face a hostile environment in the classroom.
“They use their power to either twist what you’re saying or hammer down your point,” she said.
The part of the video where the professor talks about using his power to stifle student comments struck home with her.
She recalled her experience trying to ask questions or express her conservative views out on campus, only to be embarrassed or made to feel dumb by professors, many of whom held Marxist or far-left views.
In the video, Tausch said it was his job to be middle-of-the-road and not take sides politically, but he said it was difficult to stay silent on Trump voters who are going to “[expletive] kill you.”
“I could say in my classroom, as forcefully as possible, ‘Do not vote for this mother [expletive Trump] because you are voting for environmental destruction. Not just environmental destruction—global destruction,” he said.
The professor says that Trump supporters are not the only dangerous people his students should worry about. He believes the entire Republican Party, which represents half of the American population, is a problem for society.
“So, I get to say [in the classroom], ‘Look, the GOP and Republicans do not believe in climate change, and that’s [expletive] dangerous,” he added.
Tausch also said he would like to “beat him to death with my fists” when speaking of Trump.
Immediately after talking about killing Trump, Tausch threatened sitting U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), saying he “needed to be put in the hole, too.”
Also, Tausch appeared to threaten U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) in the same manner, saying, “Get that [expletive in there],” referring to the hole.
He added that U.S. Rep. Lauren Bobert (R-Colo.) should “shut the [expletive] up.”
Tausch said that hardcore Trump supporters or MAGA supporters are probably “racists,” adding that they are probably about 25 percent of the United States population.
Viewers responding to the video released on Rumble criticized the professor, saying that someone who indoctrinates students and wants to beat someone to death should lose his job.
“This guy is an unhinged democrat lunatic who needs to be fired,” one viewer posted.
Another said her daughter was “right-leaning” until she went to college in NYC. “Now, she has a framed pic of Obama in her kitchen and also thinks Michelle was the greatest First Lady we’ve ever had. She is hoping Michelle will run for president in 2024.”
“Listening to this guy confirms what I suspect about colleges: You have cocky, opinionated professors that use their role to indoctrinate students to be left-wing activists. The results certainly show this is happening all over the country,” another commented.
But at least one person posted that while he disapproved of what the professor said, at least he was being honest about his leftist beliefs.
Brooklyn College in New York told The Epoch Times that the matter was under investigation by the Brooklyn College Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
“The college denounces all forms of hatred including, but not limited to, hate based on religion, national origin, race, and ethnicity, as well as threats of violence by any members of its community,” the college said in an email.
